Navigating Mental Health as a Trans Youth: Strategies for Self-Care and Resilience

Description
With transgender rights being under attack, especially for youth, along with the individual challenges of navigating the trans world, it can be difficult to discover where to start with taking care of yourself and preventing burnout. This session will focus on how to navigate self-care; learn different strategies to process different emotions such as anger, sadness, and joy; and learn how to discover what self-care looks like for you. Rather than viewing self-care as a reward or a chore, we will reframe it as a basic need for survival and as a revolutionary act against the discrimination the trans community faces today.
